Published book with previously unpublished photographs of the war with Chile

Under the seal of the Fondo Editorial de la UCH just print out an impressive book that brings together until now unpublished photographs of the war with Chile. National Magazine Exchange The war in our memory, chronic Illustrated Pacific War (1879-1884, Babylon Renzo Fernandez Baca shows battle scenes captured from the southern front and the occupation of strategic areas of the border and in our capital. The book is a compilation made by the communicator and photographer Renzo Fernandez, whose work has been recognized in Peru and abroad, highlighting the prize won at the Ninth International Photographic Art Exhibition in Beijing (September 2001). Photographs taken by photo studios in Lima, until a few days before the occupation of Lima, are the prejudices of the time: there are mostly views of senior Peruvian officials, the Book of Lima and the Fortaleza Pierola, but not the regular battalions of the Peruvian Army. Chorrillos can be devastated by the bombing, enemy soldiers wounded in a trench, landing on our coast of Chile, the enemy occupying the summit of Cerro San Cristobal, including moving images. The presentation of this work will take place next Tuesday 28 January as part of the 4th. Feria del Libro de Trujillo, Trujillo organized by the Art and Literature-ATAL. The comments will be made by historian and journalist Antonio Zapata Ernesto Barreda, Director of the newspaper La Industria de Trujillo.
